Using lies as a political weapon to terrify and wipe out one’s opponents is grotesque and unacceptable at any time and in any place. Even more aberrant is when it is the governing federation of the IOC that uses this strategy; and worse still is when national federations, associations and specifically ATHLETES fail to confront these lies soundly and with determination. |

There should be no boundaries to ones participation in sport or fitness activities! No organization in the world has the proprietary right to limit one from having a free choice to participate outside of its own organization. FINA needs to re-think its leadership if it wants to maintain any credibility. |

We have had similar problems with our host governing body affiliated to FINA and created the Great Britain Diving federation as a direct result of these problems. This body now covers most of masters diving in the UK with the swimming people being left the performance stuff. Not a really satisfactory state of affairs but the best we could do at the time as our government was not prepared to support us in the fight for fair play and LEN and FINA certainly wouldn't despite the diving fraternity in each organisation being supportive. |
