A piece of information in the Sao Paulo Declaration is misleading. It appears that Thomas Morrill is being listed as a masters swimmer representing the United States. While it may be true Thomas is a citizen of the US and he is also a masters swimmer in a country other than the US, he is not a member of United States Masters Swimming. The declaration seems to imply that he is a representative of the United States. This is not true. At the international level, Rob Copeland, the president of USMS is our spokesperson. It would be best to change that information on the website. Thank you, Mark Gill Vice President of Member Services United States Masters Swimming. |

There are many fitness
swimmers in a country (ie.: USA), who are not members of any particular
"ruling" body. WAMO does not profess to represent organizations but only
INDIVIDUALS. Thank you for your comment. |
